Gin Ginger Greatness

I come back to ginger quite a bit. I love its zesty bite, and it is a wonderful complement to one of my favorite bases, Gin. Here are two version I made of this cocktail, one without a sugar rim, and one with a candied ginger garnish – both are special and will not disappoint!

Recipe:

2 oz gin (if you follow me, you know I’m partial to Bombay Sapphire)
3/4 oz ginger liqueur
1/2 fresh squeezed lemon
1/2 oz homemade simple syrup (I make it with a tad less sugar)

Shake and strain into a sugar rimmed coupe and/or garnish with candied ginger.
